The Boycott Goes On
The ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas should give us cause to rejoice. We stand indeed in support of our Palestinian brothers and sisters’ happiness
Praise be to Allah (SWT) and peace and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
“Remember when you cried out to your Lord for help, He answered, “I will reinforce you with a thousand angels—followed by many others. And Allah made this a sign of victory and reassurance to your hearts. Victory comes only from Allah. Surely Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.” [Al Anfal, 8:9-10]
The ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas should give us cause to rejoice. We stand indeed in support of our Palestinian brothers and sisters’ happiness, but we will only be able to rejoice when the Ummah would completely vanquish Allah’s enemies. Zionists never keep their word, neither do they ever respect UN resolutions, even less ICJ recommendations. They had barely liberated 90 Palestinian prisoners, including children, and they arrested 60 Palestinians, including a 7-year-old child, in the West Bank! And bombs continue to fall in Gaza, killing hundreds, despite the ceasefire.
“As for those who persist in disbelief, it is the same whether you warn them or not—they will never believe. Allah has sealed their hearts and their hearing, and their sight is covered. They will suffer a tremendous punishment.” [Al Baqara, 2:6-7]
We need to remember that for Zionists, falsehood is, more than anything, a weapon. It is used with the objective of committing a genocide against Palestinians and extend the occupation, in this case. It is the strategy adopted by enemies of Allah to justify the so-called Israeli right to defend itself, a right that is deprived from Palestinians.
The Ummah will never forget that a genocide took place over 470 days, with 47,000 victims, excluding those still under the rubble; 2 million displaced, living in tents, and the greatest number of amputated children ever known. There are no longer homes, hospitals, schools or universities in Gaza. The Ummah will never forget the extent of the Zionist army’s atrocity and barbarity.
The world now knows that Zionists are nothing more than war criminals, as defined by international conventions, with a stone in place of the heart. The Butcher of Tel Aviv enjoys the carnage of innocent victims. The Ummah can never forget.
However, the Ummah needs to draw appropriate lessons from the genocide. The most important one is the demonstration of faith, courage, resilience and trust in Allah (SWT) on the part of the Palestinians. The dead are undoubtedly martyrs and will go to Paradise.
But the Ummah will also remember the disgustingly revolting attitude of Muslim heads of state. The MBS, MBZ, Sissis and other Erdogans should be kicking themselves and ask for forgiveness from the Ummah for their complicity in the genocide. Despite them being members of the IOC, Arab League or participating in countless sterile summits, these leaders have shown their lack of capacity in defending their brothers and sisters, victims of genocides and suffering from persecutions and atrocities. Palestinians will remember.
Muhammad (SAW) has said:
[…] But by the one in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the sanctity of a believer, his wealth and his blood, is greater in the sight of Allah than your (the Ka’bah) sanctity.
Another lesson to be learnt is that of the extent of the Islamophobia industry around the world, revealed by the genocide. Biden, Blinken, Starmer, Macron, Trudeau and now Trump and Musk, have shown their complicity to the genocide and confirmed their hostile attitudes towards Muslims.
It is undeniable that the West has consolidated, armed, financed, promoted, supported and excused the most violent, most savage, most radical form of extremism that exists. Zionism is a pest for humanity, and we are convinced that it will soon disappear.
“And the disbelievers made a plan, but Allah also planned—and Allah is the best of planners. [Al’i Imran, 3:54]
It is clear that Allah (SWT) is switching the power dynamics.
“Say, “O Allah! Lord over all authorities! You give authority to whoever You please and remove it from who You please; You honour whoever You please and disgrace who You please—all good is in Your Hands. Surely You are Most Capable of everything. [Al’i Imran, 3:26]
It must be acknowledged, as remarkably proved by Hamas, that the only movement capable of eliminating the genocide comes from popular resistance against all forms for discrimination, dehumanisation, hate speech, racism or xenophobia.
In our context, economic boycott is the most appropriate action to weaken the Israeli economy, and eradicate Zionism, In Sha Allah
The agreement only pertains to military action on the ground. It does not solve the problem of the occupation of Palestinian territories by Zionists. It does not take the persecutions born by Palestinians during the last 75 years into account. It does not promise the existence of a Palestinian state in any way. It does not end the apartheid imposed by Israel in illegal occupied territories, as recognised by the Security Council of the UN. It does not demand that Israel recognise its guilt in the crimes committed.
Palestine, and Al Aqsa, belongs to the Ummah, and the latter should be the one deciding its fate. Al Quds, which the world insists on calling Jerusalem, belongs to the Ummah, since Muhammad (SAW) set foot there, hence its importance for Muslims. The sacredness of Al Quds is not comparable to that of Makkah, the home for the Ka’bah and Madina, the city of the Prophet (SAW).
We should also not forget the prohibition imposed by the Israeli army for Palestinian Muslims to perform their prayers inside Masjid Al Aqsa. It is prohibited for Jews to enter the Al Aqsa complex due to its sanctity. Despite this, Jews often violate the sacred place that is Al Aqsa. During the genocide, the Zionist usurper once more prohibited Muslims from offering the Friday prayer in Masjid Al Aqsa.
For the Muslim, boycott is justified through his commitment to hisbah, the invitation to do good and prohibit the bad. We need to be confident that the boycott will keep on weakening the Israeli economy and bring the end of the genocide. The boycott now takes a different turn, that of expelling Israel and Zionism from our territory. Let’s be certain that the days of Zionism are counted. Allah (SWT) will soon make the destruction of Zionism a lesson for humanity.
“Do not think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them until a Day when eyes will stare in horror [Ibrahim, 14:42]
May Allah (SWT) help and guide us.
