Away With Dictators, Despots and Usurpers

Praise be to Allah (SWT) and blessings on Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Allah has promised those of you who believe and do good that He will certainly make them successors in the land, as He did with those before them; […] [An Noor, 24:55]

The most contemptible weapon of men is to shed tears when war criminals and rapists stir the embers of war. This saying of a scholar should give us food for thought this Friday. The resumption of the genocide by Zionists has caused a wave of indignation among the Ummah. Some have allowed themselves to wallow in despair, others have turned to prayer, while some have found the opportunity to renew their faith (tawakkul) in Allah (SWT).

This is not the time for tears or futile actions. The Ummah has never been afraid of oppressors or tormentors of all kinds, as the Ummah has complete faith in the Creator, Allah (SWT), the Most Powerful. Victory comes with Allah (SWT).

The so-called stand of dictators and despots who proclaim themselves to be heads of Muslim states, in the face of the vague colonial attempts of the psychopath of the White House, have lured the Ummah. Some have seen a ray of hope, others, indifferent, have not even paid any attention, while some have lowered their guards towards the boycott, led by enthusiasm. Dictators or despots of Muslim states are only acting, they are bound by the infamous Abraham Accords. Their aim is to retain their position as usurpers, backed by their Western supporters, ignoring the aspirations of their people. Cynics will say that they are only reacting to the instructions of the psychopath to divert the attention of the Ummah and allow the Butcher of Tel Aviv to continue his dirty work. Allah (SWT) will show us the truth.

The current leaders of the Muslim world are among the most hated. They remain silent, become proactive only when participating abstractly in the genocide. Never had the leadership of the Muslim world been occupied by such miserable leaders. Were we to look for a solution from one of these regimes to save Palestinian lives, we know that it would have been in vain. They are the embodiment of those mentioned in the hadith: “The worst of your leaders are those who you hate and who hate you and who you curse and who curse you.”

O believers! Take neither Jews nor Christians as guardians—they are guardians of each other. Whoever does so will be counted as one of them. Surely Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. [Al Maida, 5: 51]

By adhering to the Abraham Accords, our dictators, our despots and our usurper monarchs have betrayed the Ummah. They are now the obstacle to the revival of the Ummah. It is noteworthy that the people of these countries do not support their leaders.

Arab Solidarity

A survey carried out by the Centre Arabe de Recherche et d’Etudes Politiques in 2023, in Mauritania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and the West Bank, Palestine (including Jerusalem) has shown that there is an Arab consensus: 92% support citizens of the Arab region and the Palestinian People of Gaza. 69% of people surveyed have expressed their support to Palestinians and Hamas, 23% have expressed their support to Palestinians despite their opposition to Hamas.

When asked about the reactions of the regional and international powers to Israel’s war against Gaza, 94% are reported to find the American’s negative, 82% very bad. In the same context, 79%, 78% and 75% of people surveyed have judged France’s, UK’s and Germany’s reactions to be negative.

The Arab public opinion considers the Palestinian cause to be an Arab one, and not exclusively Palestinian. 92% of people surveyed think that the Palestinian cause is that of all Arabs and not just Palestinians.

Asked about measures that Arab governments should take to end the war in Gaza, 36% of people surveyed are of the opinion that Arab governments should suspend all relations with Israel.

This survey is the first of its kind to poll public opinion on the subject in the Arab region.

It is clear that the Arab people have a different stand than that of their leaders. It is now imperative that they turn this stand into action. The priority is to free Muslim armies from the barracks. For Allah (SWT) states:

As for those who struggle in Our cause, We will surely guide them along Our Way. And Allah is certainly with the good doers. [Al Ankabut, 29:69]

The Arab people don’t need despots’ permission to engage in a jihad against those who have occupied the Ummah’s territories, who have looted our resources and persecuted our brothers since the last 75 years. They know that it is fard ain (an infividual obligation) to defend Muslim territories and to fend off Muslims’ aggressors. Let’s chase dictators, despots and usurpers. It’s time for people to take action.

This genocide should be our wakeup call from our lethargy and our lives full of inconsequential stuff that we have built for ourselves.

The Boycott as a Weapon should Still be Used

Inflicting pressure on a target is recognised as the most powerful form of boycott. When Muhammad (SAW) had held Banu Qaynuqa under siege, it created a form of economic boycott on them. When he (SAW) set fire to their palm trees, it was a form of economic boycott, similar to when he (SAW) destroyed their economic infrastructure and their source of sustenance. He (SAW) thus used economic pressure in different ways to weaken his enemies.

Gaza does not have access to food, drinking water and electricity in the holy month of Ramadan. The genocide has been taken to new heights. Borders are closed and food blockades are used as a war weapon.

Despite the distance that separates us, we can act. We need to maintain the boycott. When boycott is motivated by the aim to weaken the Zionist economic system, those responsible for the genocide; when the motivation is to show the world that there are millions of Muslims who support their brothers, sisters, and children, we will be rewarded.

We should also have faith that the oppressors will be answerable to their actions in front of Allah (SWT).

Those who persecute the believing men and women and then do not repent will certainly suffer the punishment of Hell and the torment of burning. [Al Buruj, 85:10]

May Allah (SWT) help and guide us.
